After The Shot Given in Wet Sari With Amitabh Bachchan- Actress Cried The Whole Night!!

Megha Hit movie of 1982 “Namak Halal” directed by Prakash Mrhra opposite Smita Patil completed 34 years on this Saturday. Mega star Amitabh Bachchan shared few fond memories of late actress “Smita Patil “during the shooting of the film.
Smita Patil who was known best for the Art movies, was very uncomfortable during the shooting of this commercial film- “Namak Halal”, said by Amitabh during the completion of 34 years of this movie. Smita Patil, who was at inconvienent state during the shooting of the entire film because she just could not understand why she was asked to do such sultry scenes in the film. There was a song, the demand of that song was that the actress had to be portrayed in the drench saari while dancing over the song “ Aaj Rapat Jaayen” on which she was highly uncomfortable.

Amitabh posted that the late actress has done the film with lot of personal persuasion from me and it came out very fine. Praising her qualities Amitabh said she was such a gentle lady with innumerable merits, stronger than anything you could ever encounter in a woman. Its been 30 years the industry really lost a Gem, we never should have, he added. Her performance in the movies were unmatched or an epitome to be reached by any other actresses.

But next day when we met each other on the set she was quite lamented. It didn’t take me a second to understand the reason behind her gloomy mood.
She poured the fact , how did it feel her while doing that item song for the movie, what did my fan could think about me who have always seen me in the art movies, doing something really genuine and simple? Previous night she was juggling with all these confusions. Then I took a command and made her understand the situation of the song demanded you to perform that way. I persuaded her with lot of counselling sessions, and at last , she could understand and given her consent of doing the movie. In this way the whole shooting was completed in the first air conditioned floor at Seth studios whose ambience was a real delight.
