Bollywood legendry actress Sri-devi is no more, she left us all crying last Saturday at Dubai. Sri-devi started working at a very tender age of 4, and has finished 300 films so far. There is no match to her Calibre and acting , she left a notch in the entertainment industry through her amazing acting skills.
However, there were few unreleased films of Sri-devi which never got a chance to go on-screen. Today we will give you a brief account of all such movies which could not get released due to one or the other reasons.
Director Ramesh Sippy in 1988 declared to cast Sri-devi and Vinod khanna in his film “Zameen “ for which half of the shooting was done , but unfortunately this film never got completed. Otherwise you could have seen Sri-devi starring with Vinod Khanna in their first Bollywood movie.
Well known Director K R Reddy in 1991 has taken Sri-Devi, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor in his film “Garjana”, whose trailer also got released, but the shooting got stucked in between due to some payment issues. So, it was held in- between, and never got screened.
In 1990, director Anil Sharma has almost declared to cast Anil Kapoor and Sri-devi in his film “Mahraja”, but there were some casting issues which strive in between and hold back its completion. But it got onscreen with the same name but with different Starcasts in 1998, starring Mansiha Koirala and Govinda.
Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor said in an interview that makers decided to get me and Sri-devi in the film “Govinda”. But there were some valid reasons for which it never got on screen. However, the actors had completed giving the photoshot also for the movie, but sadly it never came up. But later on, the duo Anil Kapoor, and Sri-devi was seen in the super hit movie “ Mr. India”.
There is one more name added in to the list was of movie- “Teerandaaz” which was supposed to be created by the Choreographer Manmohan Singh of the film “Chandani”. And the actors chosen to be taken in the films were Sunny Deol and Sri-Devi. The film inauguration was also being done by the Yash Chopra, but even after all such efforts, this movie never got a chance to be released.
