After record breaking film Padmavat, here comes one more in a queue- sonu ke titu ki sweeti which is considered as the second super hit movie of this year. Released on 23rd february the bromance film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ has opened at a great note with a wonderful collection of around Rs 18.25 crore nett, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.
For the record, the first weekend collections were around Rs 25.83 crore nett. ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ collected around Rs 6.25 crore and around Rs 6.50 crore nett on its second weekend respectively. If at all it touches Rs. 100 crore , it will be a big achievement for its whole cast team.
The story of the film revolves around Titu (Sunny Najir) who dumps his girlfriend on his friend Sonu’s (Kartik Aaryan) suggestion. He then gets engaged to his girlfriend despite his friend’s disappointment and tries to convince him until the end to call off the wedding.
The film contains peppy remixed dance numbers like ‘Dil chori sada’ and ‘Chhote chhote peg’ which have been ruling the chartbusters for quite some time.
It was speculated that after the release of Anushaka’s horror film “Pari”, the business of the movie sonu ki teetu ki sweety wil certainly come down. But proving it wrong it adversely affected the horror movie “Pari” which has given only the business of 15 crores in its first week. And even after the release of Pari crowd can not be drifted away from watching “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”
