Paresh Rawal 64 becomes the father of Ranbir Kaoor in the film “Sanju” old and has many great performances to his credit but he is deep learner who never shies away in learning from his peers. He was inspired by the acting of Ranbir Kapoor, whose father he plays in the upcoming biopic Sanju.
Rawal used the Gujarati phrase “Parkaya pravesh” to describe Ranbir’s act in the film – a performance that taps into the soul of the character. “I have never seen this kind of transformation of an actor,” said Rawal. “So early in his age there is a lot of control over the craft, so much understanding. It is a very rare quality.”
He comes on the set as a normal person and does wonders with his voice as well. Nuanced performance is an understatement for what Ranbir does in Sanju.”
He also praised for film’s director and co-writer Rajkumar Hirani who were also at the receiving end of appreciation.
“Sanjay Dutt is lucky this film is made by Raju Hirani,” said Rawal. “Itni dramatic life hai. Every sequence is going up and up. To do justice to it and maintain the emotion; you really require sensitive handling for a subject like Sanjay Dutt,” added Rawal.
