Bollywood actress Rani Mukherji signalled the commencement of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne by hoisting the Indian tri-coloured flag at the Federation Square in Melbourne.
Rani looked every bit ethereal in a floral printed sari with a white shawl hanging loosely over her shoulders as she unfurled the flag with the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and IFFM director Mitu Lange by her side along with many Indians Australians in the crowd.
She felt humbled and honoured when given the chance to unfurl country’s flag at foreign land miles away from the motherland brought more patriotism and unifying feeling today, said by the starlet.
I am thankful to Victorian government and Mitu for bestowing this honor at me.
Her film Hitchki released on March 23rd has done good collection at the box office.
