Born to a Punjabi film director Mukesh Gautam Actress Yami Gautam and her sister surilie were well aware of the film industry.
However being from filmy background acting was never her interest, she was enrolled in a law college with the mind of pursuing her Career as IAS officer. But suddenly in her twenties she quit her law degree and moved to Mumbai to find her out.
Her debut serial was chaand ke paar chalofollowed by her biggest break in the bollywwd against Ayushman Khurana- Vicky donor since after there was no looking back for this Indian beauty who stood out in her acting in the film and got many offers for working into the commercials.
She also appeared against Shahid Kapoor and Shradha Kapoor in the film “Batti Gul Meter Chalu.”
