Rare pic of two gems- Rabindranath Tagore with Albert Einstein makes Twitterati say, ‘two best minds in one frame’

Rabindranath Tagore a native of Kolkata, India was the first Asian person to have won the Nobel Prize in the year 1913 for his contribution to the field of Literature. Tagore is famous for having written Gitanjali among other volumes of poetry, plays, novels and short stories. He originally wrote in Bengali and translated his works to English and by the means of those translations, he made a name for himself in the West.

On the other hand, German physicist Albert Einstein, also won the Nobel Prize in Physics eight years later than Tagore, for the discovery of the photoelectric effect, which was a breakthrough in the development of quantum theory.

A rare pic of Tagore and Einstein has now surfaced on the Internet Twitterati instantly hailed the picture of the two renowned personalities as “two of the best minds in one frame” and rightly so.

One Twitter user pondered, “Just wondering why they met and what they discussed?” To this, another replied, “They discussed the nature of reality. Einstein conceded that his belief in a universe ‘out there’ independent of the observer is his ‘religion’ for which he has no scientific basis. Fascinating conversation!”
